US dollar exchange rate surpasses 12,500 UZS mark for the first time in commercial banks

The exchange rate of the US currency has seen another increase in commercial banks across the country.

Today, on February 5, commercial banks have set the US dollar selling rate between 12,380 and 12,445 UZS, while the purchase rates range from 12,460 to 12,510 UZS.

The following is a list of some banks that have set new dollar exchange rates:

- NBU: buying – 12,380 UZS, selling – 12,470 UZS;
- Poytaxt Bank: buying – 12,410 UZS, selling – 12,480 UZS;
- Madad Invest Bank: buying – 12,390 UZS, selling – 12,510 UZS;
- Ipoteka Bank: buying – 12,400 UZS, selling – 12,500 UZS.

For reference, as of February 5, the official exchange rate of the dollar stands at 12,448.01 UZS. 

This marks the first instance of the dollar rate crossing the 12,500 UZS threshold in commercial banking history in the country, setting a new precedent for the financial markets in Uzbekistan.
