Anvarjon Abdullayev becomes new governor of Kushtepa district
Ilyosbek Novikov, who has been the head of the district since 2018, has resigned.
Anvarjon Abdullayev was appointed the governor of Kushtepa district. This was announced at an extraordinary session of the Kushtepa district council people’s deputies.
In the session attended by regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, an organizational issue related to the appointment of a new district governor to replace Ilyosbek Novikov, who was released from his post, was considered.
The candidate of Anvarjon Abdullayev, presented by the regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, was unanimously supported by the Kushtepa district deputies, and Anvarjon Abdullayev, who has been working as the head of the regional poverty reduction and employment department until now, was confirmed as the governor of Kushtepa district.
Anvarjon Abdullayev was born in 1982 in the Uzbekistan district. In 2004, he graduated from Fergana Polytechnic Institute. In 2004-2014, he worked in the statistics department of Kokand city, in 2014-2022 – in responsible positions in the Fergana regional administration, Uzbekistan and Dangara district, and in 2022-2023 – as the head of the neighborhood work and entrepreneurship development department of Fergana region.
From 2023 until his appointment, he worked as the head of the Regional Poverty Reduction and Employment Department.
For information, Ilyosbek Novikov was appointed as the head of Kushtepa district in June 2018.
