Flights to be launched from Urgench to 11 cities

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting on the priority tasks of socio-economic development of Khorezm region.

It was noted that there is a need to improve the transport infrastructure in order to increase the services.

Therefore, 30 billion soums will be subsidized to reduce the price of air tickets to Urgench and other cities of the country.

There are flights from Urgench to Termiz, valley regions, Samarkand, Bukhara and St. Petersburg, Madrid, Frankfurt, Beijing and Urumqi.

“Urganch-Khiva” trolley bus travel time will be reduced by 2 times, electric bus service will be organized from Urganch to Khiva and Khanka.

The importance of involving a private partner in the management and modernization of Urgench airport was emphasized.
