Jamoliddin Khojimanov becomes Gulistan city mayor

The first deputy mayor of Tashkent’s Chilanzar district, Jamolidin Khojimanov, has been appointed as the mayor of the city of Gulistan. The former mayor, Tulkinjon Dadaboyev, had earlier been relieved of his position due to health issues.

Jamolidin Khojimanov has been assigned to the position of mayor for the city of Gulistan in the Syrdarya region, as announced by the press service of the regional governor's office.

It has been reported that today an extraordinary session of the Gulistan city council of people's deputies took place. Akmaljon Mahmudaliev, the regional governor, participated in the session.

During the session, Mahmudaliev recommended Jamolidin Khojimanov for the position of mayor of the city of Gulistan. By decision of the Gulistan city council of people's deputies, he was appointed to the office of mayor.

Jamolidin Khojimanov was born in 1987 in the Sardoba district. He graduated from the Tashkent State Agrarian University in 2011, specializing in accounting and audit.

During his career, he has held responsible positions in various organizations in the fields of finance and economics in both the Tashkent region and Tashkent city. Prior to his appointment, he served as the first deputy mayor of Chilanzar district, responsible for financial, economic, and poverty reduction issues, and he headed the department for economic development and poverty reduction.

Tulkinjon Dadaboyev had been serving as the mayor of Gulistan city since February 25, 2019, until he was released from his position due to health reasons on February 6, 2024.
