Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Liechtenstein
The Principality of Liechtenstein has become the 146th country with which Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations.
On March 5, in New York, Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations.
On behalf of their respective governments, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN, Ulugbek Lapasov, and the Permanent Representative of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the UN, Christian Wenaweser, signed the document.
Both parties expressed a mutual readiness to strengthen joint interaction within international organizations, including the UN and its specialized agencies.
An agreement was reached to intensify bilateral contacts to explore mutually beneficial areas of cooperation in political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The signing of this document is a significant step in bolstering Uzbekistan's interactions with European countries.
It should be recalled that on January 18, 2024, Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Uganda.
