Earlier, a video circulated on social networks in which the principal of a school in the Yakkabag district scolds schoolchildren and hits them in the face and head. The district department of preschool and school education commented on this video.
It turned out that the incident occurred on January 13, 2023 in secondary school No. 80 with the participation of two students and the school director, who has been working in this position since 2018.
Then 6th grade (now 7th grade) students K.A. and T.E. tried to break the desks in the classroom. During the discussion of the misconduct in the principal’s office, the HR manager and primary school teachers were also present.
“The Kashkadarya Regional Department of Preschool and School Education does not support the situation with beatings and violent treatment of students. The school pricipal and all teachers who participated in this process will be punished in accordance with current legislation,” the report reads.
It is noted that this action of the director is being studied by the Yakkabag district DIA. The Children’s Ombudsman is also monitoring the happening.
