In the Samarkand and Fergana regions, State Security Service officers stopped the sale of medicines that did not have the appropriate documents.

In particular, a resident of the Pastdargom district (born in 1999) was detained while attempting to sell 3,600 packages of the Chinese-made S-Gen drug for 46 million soums. A fake certificate of state registration of this drug was also confiscated from him.

In addition, 240 packages of the Vivanarin drug, which did not have documents, were found and seized in his house.

In the Fergana region, a resident of Kokand (born in 1989) was found to have 2,400 packages of Ampicillin, 1,600 packages of Infera and 1,600 packages of Ferrovell iron-hydroxide sucrose complex. He was detained while trying to send these drugs worth 121.8 million soums to pharmacies in the city of Namangan.

According to the conclusion of the Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products, the sale, transportation and use of these drugs is prohibited, since their storage conditions were not met and there was no registration in the State Register and certificates of conformity.

It is noted that last year a resident of Kokand was already fined under Article 165-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code for committing a similar type of offense.

Based on these facts, criminal cases were initiated under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code (production, manufacturing, acquisition, storage, transportation for marketing purposes or sale of substandard or counterfeit medicines or medical products, sales of medicines or medical products outside pharmacies and their branches, as well as violation of the retail sales procedure for prescription drugs containing potent substances). Investigations are underway.
