Nearly 20,000 hectares of land in Tashkent region transferred to Tashkent city
Part of the lands from the Yukori Chirchik and Urta Chirchik districts have been added to the composition of the Yangi Toshkent district in the city of Tashkent.
Nearly 20,000 hectares of land from Tashkent region have been transferred to the Yangi Toshkent district of Tashkent city. The decision was signed by Zoyir Mirzayev, the governor of Tashkent region.
According to the decision, 19,729.41 hectares of land, including 17,323.32 hectares from Yukori Chirchik district and 2,406.1 hectares from Urta Chirchik district, have been transferred to the Yangi Toshkent district of Tashkent.
A total of 33 communities from the Yukori Chirchik district, 20 fully and 13 partially, and 7 communities from the Urta Chirchik district, 4 fully and 3 partially, have been incorporated into the Yangi Toshkent district of the capital.
The establishment of the Yangi Toshkent district within Tashkent city was announced in November 2023. It was noted that the new Yangi Toshkent district, meant to accommodate 500,000 residents, will be constructed between the Chirchik and Qorasuv rivers. In March 2023, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Yangi Toshkent project.
