Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks with Vladimir Putin over the phone
On March 23, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the President and the people of Russia in connection with the numerous casualties as a result of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region, the statement said.
On behalf of the people of Uzbekistan, the President conveyed words of support to the families of the victims and wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured. He emphasized the strong condemnation of this crime against innocent people.
The President of Russia thanked the President of Uzbekistan for his words of support and willingness to provide the necessary assistance.
The heads of state reached an agreement to intensify bilateral cooperation to combat the threat to the security and sustainable development of the two countries, the report notes.
