“The desire to become professionals destroys gender stereotypes” - Saida Mirziyoyeva

More than 3 thousand girls took part in the IT event “Girls of the Digital Generation 2024”, aimed at increasing the role of girls in the field of information technology and supporting their ideas and projects.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education, together with Digital Generation Uzbekistan NGO, organized an IT camp “Digital Generation Girls 2024” on March 25-29, as part of the “Digital Generation” project. UzNews.uz was informed about this by the press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

 It is noted that the “Girls of the Digital Generation” project is designed to increase the role of women and girls in the field of information technology and provide direction to modern professions, support their developed ideas and projects. This year more than 3 thousand girls took part in the event.

“The final of the republican competition “Girls of the Digital Generation 2024” once again proved how gracefully girls cope with the world of numbers. I thank all participants. Their confidence and desire to become professionals destroys gender stereotypes,” wrote presidential aide Saida Mirziyoyeva on her Telegram channel.

This year, as part of the “Girls of the Digital Generation” IT event, online and offline classes were held in such areas as Digital Art, 3D Modeling, Startup Web-Site (Coding), Graphic Design with the participation of experienced mentors.

 Along with this, online meetings were organized with representatives of foreign companies.

It should be recalled that in 2023 the IT event “Girls of the Digital Generation” was held in Nukus, Termez and Namangan.  More than 250 girls took part in the offline format.  20 girls from Afghanistan also took part in offline training held in the city of Termez.
