Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in the session of Tashkent city council of people’s deputies

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the session of the Tashkent city council of people’s deputies, the press service of the head of state reported.

Also, the head of state will get acquainted with the creative works being carried out in the capital.

The President will also inspect the conditions created in the new educational and tourism facilities.

It is also expected that Shavkat Umurzakov, who is the acting governor of Tashkent, will be appointed as the governor at the session. Previously, Umurzakov, who worked as the head of Uzavtosanoat since 2018, started work as acting governor of Tashkent city, which became vacant after the dismissal of Jakhongir Artikhodjayev, in March 2023.
