Having committed burglary, the defendant killed members of one family with particular cruelty, plundered their property and fled to Russia.
The Kokand city criminal court announced a verdict against a citizen who brutally killed 4 people and hid from justice for 21 years, the press service of the Supreme Court reports.
According to the case materials, the defendant drew up a criminal plan for robbery and murder in advance. On the night of August 24-25, 2001, armed with a knife and an ax, he entered the house where the victims lived. Taking advantage of the fact that the owners of the house were sleeping, he brutally killed 4 family members, inflicting many blows on their head, face and neck.
In addition, the defendant stole the house owner’s black agate ring, a 45-centimeter gold chain, various gold jewelry and money. After this, the killer fled the scene and went to Russia.
On October 18, 2022, the defendant was arrested and taken to Uzbekistan. Part of the criminal case against him was heard in open court.
By a court decision, the man was sentenced to life imprisonment for the totality of his crimes. He will serve his sentence in a special regime colony, the first 3 years in prison.
