Avalanche warnings issued for mountainous districts in Tashkent and Namangan
Due to expected precipitation and temperature changes from April 23-30, 2024, an avalanche risk has been announced for the mountainous regions of the republic at elevations above 2000 meters above sea level.
According to Uzhydromet, there is a potential for avalanches in the following areas:
Tashkent region: Bostanlyk, Parkent, and Akhangaran districts (Chatkal Range);
Namangan region: Pop district.
Residents, vacationers, and drivers traveling through mountainous areas are advised to take cautionary measures.
