British Foreign Secretary David Cameron to visit Uzbekistan
British Foreign Secretary and former Prime Minister Lord David Cameron will visit Uzbekistan on April 23, the press service of the British Embassy reported.

In Tashkent, David Cameron will hold talks with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov. The meeting will discuss “closer cooperation on key issues” including regional security, greater UK involvement in education, climate change, bilateral trade and business ties.
David Cameron will visit Tashkent as part of an official visit to all five Central Asian states and Mongolia. The purpose of the trip is to expand cooperation in the areas of economic development and education, as well as strengthening the independence of the countries of the region.
The previous British Foreign Secretary to visit Uzbekistan was Malcolm Rifkind in February 1997.
