From May 1, new tariffs for electricity and natural gas will come into force in Uzbekistan. From June 1, 2024, 1 cubic meter of natural gas for CNG filling stations will be supplied at a price of 1,800 soums. The press secretary of the Ministry of Energy Khasan Toshkhodjayev said at a conference at the National Press Center on April 22 that prices at gas stations will not increase until June 1.
“From May 1, prices for CNG filling stations will not increase. As you know, according to Resolution No. 173 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated March 30, 2024, the price for 1 cubic meter of natural gas sold at CNG filling stations is strictly fixed. The cost until June 1 will be 3,350 soums,” he said.
Khasan Toshkhodjayev asked social network users to contact the relevant authorities if the price increases somewhere. He noted that employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office and Uzenergoinspeksiya will seriously address this issue.
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to introduce market mechanisms in the fuel and energy sector” dated April 16, 2024, 1 cubic meter of natural gas will be supplied to CNG filling stations from May 1 at a price of 1,500 soums, and from June 1 at a price of 1,800 soums. It has also been established that from April 1, 2025, gas will be supplied to CNG filling stations at a price of 2,500 soums.
