Qatar Airways to launch direct flights between Doha and Tashkent

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ashraf Khodjaev, held a meeting with the CEO of Qatar Airways, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.
As reported by the IA Dunyo, the meeting included discussions on establishing direct intergovernmental flights, cargo transportation, and the exchange of experience in the field of modern air transport.
Badr Mohammed Al-Meer expressed readiness to develop bilateral friendly relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of establishing air routes that connect the countries in fostering these relations.
"Our plans and expectations are high. Initially, we plan to operate flights four times a week, and then move to daily flights," he stated.
It was also underscored that the launch of direct flights will increase the flow of tourists and the volume of bilateral trade.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to conduct the opening ceremony of the Doha-Tashkent-Doha air route on June 2.
