Mild tremors hit Namangan region

The magnitude of the tremors was 3.7 points.

The Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports: An earthquake occurred on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 05/05/2024 at 13:16 local time (05/05/2024, 08:16 GMT).

Epicenter: Namangan region, Kasansay district. Earthquake coordinates: 41.25 degrees north latitude; 71.54 degrees east longitude. Magnitude 3.7, depth 14 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 194 km in a southeast direction.

The strength of tremors on the territory of Uzbekistan:

• Kasansay district: 3 points, 8 km.
• Yangikurgan district: 2-3 points, 14 km.
• Chartak district: 2 points, 28 km.
• Namangan city: 2 points, 30 km.
• Turakurgan district: 2 points, 34 km.
