Traffic on Kamchik pass restored
Drivers and passengers stuck at the pass were given hot drinks and food in tents and received assistance.
At the 229th kilometer of the A-373 highway, passing through the Kamchik pass, due to heavy rains, the roadway was covered with mud, sand and stones.
As a result of the necessary practical actions taken to eliminate the consequences of the situation with the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and related organizations, at 00:55 traffic on the Tashkent-Fergana Valley section of the road was opened.
At 02:45 the Valley-Tashkent connection was also opened.
No casualties were reported as a result of the landslide. The situation is under control.
Emergency Situations Ministry employees helped drivers and passengers stuck at the pass, distributing hot drinks and food in tents.
