Entry to Samarkand to be restricted on April 3-5 for major international summit
Due to the first "Central Asia – European Union" summit, entry to Samarkand will be restricted on April 3, 4, and 5.

The Samarkand Regional Traffic Safety Department has announced that, in connection with the upcoming "Central Asia – European Union" summit, entry roads to Samarkand will be temporarily closed.
According to the statement, on April 3, 4, and 5, a detour route will be arranged for transit vehicles passing through the region. Special flyers have been prepared for drivers, which can also be accessed via a QR code through a mobile application.
"Dear drivers, we kindly ask you to strictly adhere to the established rules and regulations," the statement reads.
Additionally, the department has advised travelers planning to visit Samarkand during these dates to postpone their trips if possible.
