Citizen G.M. contacted the Consulate General and asked for help in returning her husband R.A. to Uzbekistan, who came to Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.
In March, R.A. left Uzbekistan on a bicycle to make a pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. He left Uzbekistan for Russia, and from there to Georgia. Georgian border guards sent the Uzbek citizen back to Vladikavkaz. After this R.A. arrived in Saudi Arabia on the route “Vladikavkaz – Istanbul – Jeddah”.
It was noted that R.A.’s bag money, documents, clothes were stolen.
Diplomats managed to find citizen R.A. He was accommodated at the Silver Classic Hotel in Mecca until he was issued a certificate to return to Uzbekistan.
The Consulate General and active compatriots in Mecca bought an air ticket on the “Medina – Tashkent” route, and R.A. arrived safely in Uzbekistan.
