Drunk driver hits a pedestrian to death in Tashkent

In the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, an intoxicated Captiva driver ran over a 39-year-old pedestrian near a store, the press service of the MIA Traffic Safety Department reports.

The accident occurred on the night of June 8 in the Dustobod mahalla on Sultonali Mashhadiy Street.

As a result of injuries inflicted, the pedestrian died at the scene.

It is noted that on this fact, the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City DIA opened a criminal case under Article 266-2 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles resulting in the death of a person) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
