Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev appointed head of Uzbekistan Airports
Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev was confirmed as Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports JSC. Since August 2023, he has led the company in an interim capacity.
“In accordance with the decision of the sole shareholder, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Javlonbek Oybekovich Umarkhodjayev was approved as Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports JSC on June 20, 2024,” the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported.
Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev began his career in 2008 at Uzbekistan Airways (then, it was called Uzbekistan Airways). In 2009-2018, he was the head of the aviation security department of NAC. In 2018-2021, he worked as deputy head of the capital construction directorate and technical director for the implementation of the Tashkent-East project of Uzbekistan Railways JSC. In 2021-2023, he served as First Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations of Uzbekistan Airports.
