People in Uzbekistan massively complaining about overcharging for electricity consumption
On social media, consumers are expressing complaints that electricity meters are overestimating their consumption or incorrectly accounting for usage within the social norm limits.

To address these issues on-site and take targeted measures to resolve problems, the Competition Promotion and Consumer Rights Protection Committee has established a working group.
It includes representatives not only from the Committee but also from Uzenergoinspection, the Agency for Technical Regulation, and Tashkent Power Grids.
"Legal measures will be taken to rectify identified deficiencies during the investigation of these cases," the message states.
Consumers facing similar issues can contact the committee's hotline at 1159 or through the Telegram bot @rquzBot.
