Customs officials prevent smuggling of 23 ancient coins at Tashkent Airport
Passengers on the "Tashkent-Moscow" flight hid these coins in their hand luggage.
Today, July 13, at around 03:30, customs officers, in cooperation with aviation security personnel, inspected the hand luggage of a passenger flying on the "Tashkent-Moscow" route and found 5 coins (4 yellow and 1 white metal) of various denominations, not declared according to the established customs procedures, and classified as cultural valuables restricted from being taken out of Uzbekistan.
Additionally, at around 04:00, another similar case was recorded. It was found that a passenger possessed and not declared a total of 18 coins (3 yellow, 3 black, and 12 white metal) of various denominations, also classified as cultural valuables restricted from being taken out of Uzbekistan.
"Currently, investigations are ongoing regarding the above cases," the report states.
