Isroil Madrimov to challenge Terence Crawford in Los Angeles on August 3
The WBA titleholder in the super welterweight category, Uzbekistani boxer Isroil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs), will face the undisputed world champion in the welterweight category, WBC and WBA titleholder Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), in his next bout.
Before the fight, which will be held on August 3 in Los Angeles, USA, the DAZN television channel prepared a promotional video for the event. It features the careers of the 29-year-old Uzbek boxer and the 36-year-old American athlete leading up to this fight.
“Crawford and Madrimov will face each other in a legendary fight. I am confident that this fight will be one of the toughest tests in the undefeated Crawford's career,” wrote Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority.
For reference, the 36-year-old American boxer has had 40 professional fights (31 by knockout), winning all of them. The undefeated Crawford last fought in July 2023, defeating his compatriot Errol Spence ahead of schedule.
As for Madrimov, he claimed the WBA title in March of this year by defeating the Russian boxer Magomed Kurbanov.
