President orders expedited construction of 195 residential buildings to meet 2024 housing goals
The president emphasized the need to promptly start the construction of 195 residential buildings comprising 9,000 apartments.
The system for obtaining technical conditions for entrepreneurs to connect to electricity and gas supply in new construction projects will be digitized. This was announced during a video conference meeting chaired by the president.
Additionally, an automated system for selecting connection points to the network without human involvement will be implemented.
This year's Investment Program allocated 20.5 trillion UZS for 1,896 projects. However, despite half the year has passed, construction has not yet started on 88 projects worth 824 billion UZS, and instructions were given to address the delays.
Particular emphasis was placed on equipping 147 hospitals with medical equipment and completing construction works in 80 polyclinics, 67 hospitals, 618 schools, and 176 kindergartens within the stipulated timeframes.
It was noted that by the end of the year, works worth 2 trillion UZS should be completed, improving water supply on 570,000 hectares and increasing the proportion of concrete-lined canals to 39%, and delivering 13,000 kilometers of roads and 195 bridges.
This year, it is planned to build 2,152 multi-story residential buildings, delivering more than 100,000 homes. For this, it is necessary to promptly start the construction of 195 residential buildings comprising 9,000 apartments.
The importance of ensuring that the funds allocated to improve drinking water infrastructure have a tangible impact on residents' daily lives was emphasized. Specifically, it is planned to put into operation 2,000 kilometers of networks, 99 water facilities, and 1 sewage pumping station in the regions.
