Brick plant in Samarkand faces charges for stealing electricity worth over 1 billion UZS
In the Bulungur district of the Samarkand region, a brick plant illegally connected to the power grid and stole electricity worth 1.03 billion UZS.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated against the plant's officials under Part 4, Article 169, Paragraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Theft). The suspect has been detained in accordance with procedural regulations.
"Law enforcement and regulatory agencies continue intensified raids aimed at identifying cases of illegal use of natural gas and electricity," the PGO said in a statement.
