Uzbekistan repatriates 14 children in need of social protection from St. Petersburg
Representatives of the Consulate General, in collaboration with the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Health of Uzbekistan, as well as responsible staff from the St. Petersburg temporary care and guardianship institution for minors, have returned 14 children — citizens of Uzbekistan — who were left without parental supervision or legal guardians and were in need of social protection, back to their homeland.

Most of the children’s parents had previously been deported from Russia due to violations of residency regulations. The Consulate General issued the necessary documents for the children's return to their homeland.
Special gratitude was expressed to the Center for the Care of Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Supervision, a State Budget Institution of St. Petersburg, for their close cooperation and care of the Uzbek children.
