Russian Railways to open representative office in Uzbekistan and resume Tashkent-Moscow train service
Russian Railways will soon open a representative office in Uzbekistan, and potential tourist train routes are also being considered, according to the company's press service.

Recently, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev. The meeting was also attended by Oleg Belozerov, Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways.
"Russian Railways and Uzbek partners are working on a wide range of directions: joint implementation of international infrastructure projects, development of passenger transportation, expansion of logistics services, digitalization, educational programs, and humanitarian cooperation," the company’s press service emphasized.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the resumption of the Tashkent-Moscow train route, which was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. The train on this route will resume operations starting from September 24, with weekly trips, and from December 15, it will operate twice a week.
Additionally, Russian Railways plans to open a representative office in Uzbekistan in the near future, and in the cargo transportation segment, they are working on launching the "Agroexpress" accelerated refrigerated container train.
