Uzbekistan and Iran discuss strengthening trade and investment relations
On September 19, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with the Chairman of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, Samad Hasanzadeh.
According to the MIPT, at the meeting, the parties discussed the current issues of bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The sides also identified promising areas for further collaboration in priority sectors of the economy.
Specific measures were developed to increase mutual trade volumes, including discussions on the preferential trade regime between the two countries.
After the meeting, the parties discussed the upcoming events calendar, including the organization and conduct of the 16th session of the Intergovernmental Commission between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as a joint business forum scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
