Tashkent and Vienna strengthen bilateral ties with 2024-2026 Cooperation Program
The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Austria have signed a new cooperation program that outlines the key areas of bilateral collaboration for the next three years. Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg met in New York to formalize the agreement.

In a statement shared on his Telegram channel, Minister Saidov emphasized the importance of the agreement: āWe had a productive meeting with H.E. Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria. We signed a Cooperation Program between our ministries for 2024-2026, covering priority areas of Uzbek-Austrian cooperation across all sectors. We also exchanged views on regional and global dynamics.ā
The newly signed cooperation program aims to strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and Austria in a variety of fields, including diplomacy, trade, and cultural exchange. Additionally, the ministers discussed key issues on the regional and international stages, reflecting their commitment to deeper engagement on global matters.
This meeting continues the ongoing partnership between the two nations, focusing on promoting stability and mutual development. The program for 2024-2026 highlights both countriesā ambitions to advance cooperation in areas like technology, education, and green energy, aligning with global trends and regional priorities.
