Embassy of Uzbekistan issues alert for compatriots in Florida as Hurricane Milton hits
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States has issued a warning to its citizens residing in Florida following the declaration of a state of emergency in 51 cities due to Hurricane Milton. The embassy urged Uzbek nationals to take necessary precautions as the hurricane continues to impact the state.

Hurricane Milton, which struck Florida's western coast, has brought maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h, according to the National Weather Service. While the storm has weakened and been downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane, meteorologists warn that coastal areas could still experience storm surges up to 4.5 meters, posing a flooding risk to nearby communities.
