Uzbek-French University to be established in Tashkent
Uzbek diplomats recently met with Donatienne Hissard, Director-General of the French agency Campus France, to discuss expanding educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and France. The meeting marked significant progress in the establishment of the Uzbek-French University in Tashkent, which is expected to foster closer academic and cultural ties between the two nations.

During the discussions, the French delegation expressed strong interest in enhancing collaboration in higher education. They emphasized that the new university would open numerous opportunities, particularly in bolstering student exchange programs between Uzbekistan and France.
Moreover, the French representatives conveyed their readiness to actively support the organization of the third Uzbek-French Educational Forum, scheduled for 2025 in Uzbekistan. Both sides agreed on the importance of including pressing and relevant issues for universities in both countries in the forum’s agenda.
Key areas of future collaboration were identified, including climate change, ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development. The sides also committed to implementing projects aimed at improving students' knowledge and skills in these critical fields.
