Uzbekistan ratifies strategic partnership agreement with Qatar
The Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis has approved the ratification of a strategic partnership agreement with Qatar, signed on April 15, 2024, in Tashkent.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two nations. Key measures include fostering steady growth in trade turnover, enhancing transport and logistics links, increasing the exchange of goods and services on a systematic, long-term basis, attracting investments, and establishing joint ventures.
Beyond economic collaboration, the agreement seeks to deepen ties in education, science, healthcare, culture, heritage preservation, tourism, sports, and youth affairs. These multifaceted efforts reflect both nations' commitment to a comprehensive partnership.
With the draft law now approved by the Legislative Chamber, it has been sent to the Senate for further consideration.
