During the meeting, both sides acknowledged the strong foundation laid by agreements and documents signed during Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Japan in December 2019. These agreements have significantly advanced cooperation between the justice ministries of the two countries.

Minister Suzuki highlighted the intensification of bilateral collaboration in recent years. Key milestones include the signing of a cooperation program for 2024–2026 in January this year, the presentation of a guide explaining specific principles of Uzbekistan’s Law on Administrative Procedures, and the exchange of mutual visits by officials from both countries.

The discussions underscored the commitment of Uzbekistan and Japan to deepen ties in the judicial sector, paving the way for enhanced cooperation and shared expertise.
