Authorities uncover 38 billion UZS worth of energy theft in a week
Over the past week, officials identified 92 cases of illegal electricity and gas consumption.

During inspection activities carried out jointly by the Uzenergy Inspection, law enforcement agencies, and specialists from gas and electricity supply companies, 92 cases of unauthorized use of energy resources were detected.
Specifically, the theft of 15.6 million kWh of electricity worth 32.4 billion UZS and 1.8 million cubic meters of natural gas worth 5.4 billion UZS was recorded. The total damage amounted to 37.921 billion UZS.
In addition, 126 administrative protocols were filed for violations of energy usage regulations.
Measures have been taken against the offenders in accordance with the law, and the relevant case materials have been submitted to law enforcement agencies.
