Over 2,000 traffic violations reported in Namangan in a day
During traffic raids in Namangan, more than 2,000 serious traffic violations were identified in just 24 hours. Among these, 45 cases involved minors driving rented cars. Earlier, the president had criticized the widespread practice of renting cars to school students in the region.

According to the Road Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, large-scale traffic raids conducted across Namangan region revealed thousands of infractions. The agency’s press service confirmed the results.
In total, over 2,000 gross violations of traffic regulations were recorded within a day, and 756 vehicles were impounded and taken to penalty yards.
Among the violations:
• 394 cases of driving without proper documentation
• 45 cases of illegally renting vehicles to minors
• 131 cases of running red lights
Kun.uz has repeatedly reported on the alarming trend of cars being rented out to schoolchildren in Namangan. Notably, on April 17, it published a report titled "Reckless Driving Becomes a 'Business' in Namangan – Are Authorities Losing Control While Children Die?"
Just days ago, the President of Uzbekistan also addressed this issue, criticizing the growing tendency in Namangan to rent out vehicles to school-aged minors. He noted that as a result, many young people have been injured, and fatalities are increasing.
