Competition Committee sanctions 17 firms over misleading advertising

The Competition Committee has initiated proceedings against 17 companies for violations of advertising legislation, according to the agency’s press service.

During monitoring of advertising content in the media, online platforms, and outdoor advertisements, the committee and its regional departments identified several cases of non-compliance with legal requirements. The offending companies are located across 11 regions of Uzbekistan.

In particular, violations were found in the Kashkadarya region involving the regional branch of Infinbank and the Tenge Bank office in Karshi. The Davr Bank banking services center in Termez was also found to be in breach of advertising regulations.

In addition to these banks, the following companies were also found in violation:

Nigina Ismatilloyevna Private Enterprise (Samarkand region)
Aziz Osmon Servis LLC (Jizzakh region)
Tire World LLC (Syrdarya region)
GGM and JEM LLC, Idea Concept Group LLC, Moon Travel LLC (Tashkent region)
Umra Consalting Xizmati LLC, Al-Safo Tour LLC (Namangan region)

Following case reviews, all companies were issued financial penalties. The Committee also ordered the violators to rectify the breaches and take measures to prevent future infractions.
