Over 135 billion UZS worth of electricity and gas stolen in June
Recent inspections across Uzbekistan uncovered 234 cases of unauthorized use of energy resources by consumers, according to a statement from the press service of Uzenergoinspeksiya.

In cooperation with law enforcement agencies and electricity and gas supply companies, Uzenergoinspeksiya conducted control operations over the past month. As a result, 50.6 million kWh of electricity – worth approximately 103 billion UZS – and 12.4 million cubic meters of natural gas – valued at around 32.6 billion UZS – were found to have been illegally consumed. The total financial damage has been recalculated to 135.67 billion UZS.
Additionally, 471 administrative cases were officially registered in connection with violations of energy usage regulations.
Disciplinary actions were taken against the offending consumers in accordance with the law, and the relevant case files have been submitted to law enforcement authorities for further legal processing.
