Dozens of high-rise construction projects halted in Tashkent – full list published

On 26 July, the Tashkent City Administration announced that construction work had been fully suspended at 59 sites due to incomplete documentation. These sites were also disconnected from electricity supply. However, the administration did not initially disclose which projects were affected.

In response to Kun.uz’s inquiry on 29 July, the mayor’s press service explained: “Two or three of these companies have already corrected their paperwork and resumed operations. If we publish the full list now, it may cause panic and damage the business reputation of the construction firms, so we’re holding off.”

Today, 30 July, the administration introduced an online verification system that allows users to check which companies currently face construction bans. This move was prompted by the high number of related complaints. The list will be continuously updated – companies that resolve their issues will be removed, while newly identified violators will be added.

To check a specific case in the system, users need to enter the name of the property owner. Kun.uz managed to identify 41 names from the current list, which includes both legal entities and private individuals:
