More than 100 Uzbek nationals stranded in St. Petersburg will be flown home as part of a humanitarian initiative.
The “Return to Homeland” campaign, running from July 30 to August 30 with the support of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General and the representative office of the Agency for External Labor Migration, is facilitating the process, the Dunyo news agency reported.
The citizens have been issued return certificates and airline tickets, with their departure for Uzbekistan scheduled for August 18.
In addition, financial assistance was provided to 33 people, including those held at the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Nationals and others facing severe financial hardship.
