Uzbekistan and Belarus extend registration-free stay to 10 days
Citizens of Uzbekistan and Belarus will soon be able to stay in each other's countries for up to 10 days without registration, following amendments to a bilateral agreement on mutual travel.
Amir Sultanov, head of a department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the change in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel while commenting on the results of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to Belarus.

According to Sultanov, the new provisions are set out in a protocol amending the 2005 Agreement on Mutual Travel by Citizens. The document was signed in the presence of the presidents of both countries.
"The signed protocol on mutual travel increases the registration-free period from three to 10 days. This will make visits to relatives and friends, as well as tourist and business trips, much more convenient," Sultanov said.
On July 9, following talks between Sahvkat Mirziyoyev and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the two sides signed a Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership. They also adopted a roadmap for developing trade and economic cooperation for 2026–2030, along with a number of bilateral agreements covering agriculture, science, culture, tourism, social protection, labor migration, and emergency prevention.
The Agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Belarus on Mutual Travel by Citizens was signed in Tashkent on January 19, 2005. It entered into force on July 25, 2006, and remains valid indefinitely.
