Uzbekneftegaz halts AI-80 gasoline sales on the exchange
In line with the 2025 state program’s mandate to phase out AI-80 gasoline, Uzbekneftegaz stopped offering this fuel grade on the commodity exchange starting from 2 September. The company announced that supplies of AI-92 gasoline have been increased instead.
According to Uzbekneftegaz’s press service, the measure is being implemented pursuant to the presidential decree linked to the 2025 state program. As of 2 September, AI-80 gasoline will no longer be traded on the exchange.
“At the same time, the supply of AI-92 gasoline to the exchange has been increased. While previously 1,000 tons of AI-92 were offered, this figure now stands at 1,720 tons. Depending on domestic demand, there is potential to further increase these volumes,” the company’s statement said.
It was noted that volumes of AI-80 gasoline purchased by entrepreneurs in August will still be delivered to buyers in September within the framework of existing obligations and available reserves.
