Mirziyoyev and Putin discuss strategic partnership during China meeting
On September 2, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in China. The meeting focused on bilateral issues and further development of cooperation.

At the start of the talks, the Russian leader warmly congratulated the president and the multinational people of Uzbekistan on Independence Day, wishing them prosperity, stable progress, and well-being.
In light of the agreements reached during previous high-level dialogues, the parties discussed expanding and strengthening the Uzbekistan–Russia comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations.
They emphasized the importance of coordinated measures aimed at maintaining the pace of trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
Special attention was given to accelerating the preparation and implementation of projects in priority sectors of the economy, as well as encouraging cooperation between regions and within joint industrial parks.
The leaders expressed great satisfaction with the effective collaboration in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in the areas of culture, art, science, and education.
The presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia also exchanged views on issues of international importance.
