Over 250,000 applicants fail to score minimum threshold in admission tests
In the 2025 admission tests, 41.29 percent of applicants failed to achieve even the minimum required score, with the lowest results recorded in Andijan region and the highest in Bukhara and Tashkent city.
A total of 614,768 applicants sat for the test this year. Of these, 253,844 applicants (41.29 percent) scored below 56.7 points, which is 30 percent of the maximum 189 points.
The weakest performance was observed in Andijan region, where 47.6 percent of applicants failed to reach the minimum score. By contrast, Bukhara region and Tashkent city recorded relatively better results, with 31.4 percent of applicants falling short.
In 2023, more than half of applicants in eight regions scored below the 56.7-point threshold, while in 2024 this figure was observed in four regions. This year, no region recorded such negative outcomes.
The five regions that improved their performance the most compared to last year are:
- Republic of Karakalpakstan – 9%
- Navoi – 8.9%
- Syrdarya – 8.1%
- Bukhara – 7.8%
- Kashkadarya – 6%
For reference, 56.7 points represent 30 percent of the maximum achievable 189 points.
