US deports 39 Uzbek citizens without legal status
On 7 September, the United States carried out a deportation flight to Uzbekistan, returning 39 Uzbek citizens who did not have the legal right to remain in the country.
According to the US Embassy in Tashkent, “this flight is the latest in a series of ongoing actions as the United States secures its borders.”
“The United States is committed to ending illegal immigration and protecting our nation’s borders and our citizens. Those who enter the United States illegally,” the statement said.
The embassy also expressed its “deep appreciation” to the government of Uzbekistan for its close cooperation in carrying out the deportation process.
