Chinese company ANKE to invest $10 million in electrical appliances plant in Fergana

The factory will produce 500,000 lamps annually and could export goods worth up to $1 million.

Nine investment projects worth a total of $40 million are planned for implementation in Kushtepa district of Fergana region, according to the regional administration.

Last week, the governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bazarov, met with entrepreneurs and their foreign partners. The meeting discussed projects in construction, food processing, electrical engineering, and knitwear production.

Investors expect to launch the facilities by mid-2026. Overall, the district’s special industrial zone is set to create 1,200 new jobs.

One of the projects involves establishing a joint production of lighting lamps and other electrical appliances with Chinese company ANKE. The plant will cover 0.5 hectares and cost $10 million, financed through foreign investment.

The enterprise will produce 500,000 lamps annually, valued at 100 billion UZS. Its export potential is estimated at $1 million, primarily targeting markets in Russia and China.

In addition, Rizo Metall plans to open a $3 million metal products plant in Kushtepa to manufacture nails, self-tapping screws, and wire mesh. The plant will produce 2,000 tons of goods annually, worth 15 billion UZS, and export $0.5 million worth of products to CIS countries and the European Union.
