Uzbekistan updates list of banned extremist and terrorist online resources
The updated list includes nearly 1,400 resources, with 70% hosted on Telegram and Instagram.
The Committee for Religious Affairs has published a revised list of materials prohibited for import, production, distribution, and display in Uzbekistan, which promote extremist or terrorist ideologies.
The list includes 220 Facebook pages, 709 channels and groups on the Telegram messenger, 239 Instagram profiles, 104 YouTube channels, 27 pages on Odnoklassniki, 46 TikTok accounts, 40 websites, and other sources containing banned content.
Authorities remind that distributing materials from the channels and groups listed is considered a violation of the law.
