China sends first batch of 100 Yutong electric buses to Uzbekistan
The first shipment of 100 electric buses from Chinese manufacturer Yutong has been sent to Uzbekistan from Khorgos through Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport reported. Another batch of 100 buses is expected to be dispatched by the end of September.
The project is part of the state program implementing the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, aimed at adapting to climate change, achieving carbon neutrality, and advancing green initiatives in public transport development in Tashkent. A total of 200 electric buses and the necessary charging infrastructure are being procured under this initiative.

YUTONG BUS Co., Ltd. won the tender for the project, which is being implemented with financial support from the Export-Import Bank of China and Uzsanoatqurilishbank.
According to the ministry, the delivery process for all buses is expected to be completed by the end of September 2025.
