Uzbekistan’s ambassador presents credentials to Saudi Crown Prince
Nodirjon Turgunov has presented his credentials to Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
On October 1, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Nodirjon Turgunov, presented his credentials to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
On behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince accepted the credentials of 37 newly appointed ambassadors from foreign states.
Following the ceremony at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, the Crown Prince conveyed his warm greetings and sincere wishes, both on behalf of King Salman and himself, to the President of Uzbekistan.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia were established on 20 February 1992.
It should be noted that Nodirjon Turgunov arrived in Riyadh in March 2024 as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia. In November 2024, he was accredited as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In April 2025, he simultaneously presented copies of his credentials as Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain. On 2 June, he also presented his credentials as ambassador to Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.
